  Training Program

Includes the following-please read about what you’re getting for your money!

 

Board

Quality Timothy or Alfalfa hay three times daily; round bales in outdoor paddocks.

Purina Strategy grain twice daily; bran mash once weekly.

Psyllium fed seven consecutive days per snow-less month.  Any other supplement will be purchased by AFI and billed to you; i.e. Glucosamine is standard.

Stalls cleaned daily; paddocks weekly.  Heated water buckets and tanks in winter.

Quarterly vaccination and de-worming program; teeth checked twice annually.  Any other Veterinary charges will be billed to you.

Standard trimming and shoeing included every six weeks.  Special or corrective shoeing will be billed to you.      

Sales Tax included in board.

Please furnish your horse with blankets appropriate for the changing seasons.

Training

Facility:  Round Pen, 70’ x 150’ Indoor, 100’ x 250’ Outdoor, variety of Jumps, Mile Grass perimeter track, turn-out paddocks-small herds and individual.

Grooming and Services: Five-six days per week; one show clip and mane pull per month; incidental medications.

Blanketing, laundry, incidental supplies, minor blanket repairs.

Major tack or blanket repair will be billed to you. Excessive or vet-prescribed medications/supplies will be billed to you.

Training: Groundwork, variety of Lunging methods, Dressage, Jumping, Trail Riding, Showing. Five-six days per week.

Showing

Showing at Horse Shows or Breed Inspections is encouraged of all Horses in training as an instrumental part of their education and marketing.  We will communicate with you regarding preparedness and suitable venues.  You are responsible for entry fees, association dues as well as splits of lodging, stabling, tack rooms, feed & bedding: Braider, show rides, etc will be billed to each horse owner.

Hauling: $.75/Loaded Mile per Horse

Meals: Groom & Trainer paid by me.

Rehabilitation

To rehabilitate your horse from and injury or trauma to a serviceably sound, useful horse.

 

You are invited and encouraged to visit the farm and your horse while it is in training.
